We'd like to take this opportunity to say Welcome and Thank You! for visiting the South City Park Neighborhood Association Discussion Board.
The goal of this forum is to offer the opportunity for South City Park residents, as well as others, to make your opinions known. Your opinions are valuable, and we are happy to be able to offer this venue for you to voice them!
There are only a few topics at the present time but you will find that these will expand as needed and as our usership grows. All suggestions are welcome! If you wish to start a new board for a new topic, by all means let us know and it will be created. You may also offer to moderate that board if you so desire.
There are just a few rules that we ask you to follow:
1. Civility should be your guide in the language you use and the way in which you dialogue with your fellow residents. At the present time we will not censor the board for profanity, unless such profanity is directed specifically and maliciously at any identifiable person or persons. We reserve the right to alter this policy in the future.
2. Strenuous debate is a good thing, we simply ask that you keep it business-like. This does not preclude arguments or strong feelings! However, personal attacks are strictly off limits and any such postings will be removed. This board is intended for sincere and courteous dialogue among residents, and personal vitriol is considered to violate the community spirit.
3. Persons who, after being warned yet continue to post personal attacks, will ultimately be banned from posting. We sincerely hope not to have to do that, but we will.
4. Respect your neighbors' opinions! Again, debate is a good thing: any and all opinions are welcome. You are free to express your opinions here and by no means should you feel compelled to agree with anyone! Just keep in mind that this is a public forum, and the level of respect you display for your neighbors will most likely determine the level of respect that you yourself command.
So to summarize: Express yourself, Respect the opinions of others, and Keep it civil!
I wanted to point out that this board also has a Private Message feature which allows you to communicate directly and privately with another member.
With that, we welcome you once again to our neighborhood discussion forum! Questions at the present time should be directed to myself (Mike Straka) or Jim Slotta.
